Second Ward High School National Alumni Foundation 

This award-winning documentary features a day at the high school in 1941 and includes interviews with alumni and many of the students you see in the film.  You'll see favorite teachers and the Brooklyn neighborhood, plus May Queen Margaret Alexander and her court.  A dvd copy of the film is $25.  See more about the film. 

Want to remember your days at Second Ward?  We have specially reproduced a number of the school's yearbooks.  Although not all years had a yearbook, we have a number for sale at $25-30. 

One of the first books to document the 'lost' Second Ward neighborhood and school is this book by Johnson C. Smith professor Rev. DeGrandval Burke.  Published in 1978, the book was a special project of UNCC and the Afro-American Culture Center.  A copy of Rev. Burke's book is available for $15.
